Earn While You Learn is a scheme of Director Higher Education, Haryana under Human resource development in
all the Govt. colleges of Haryana for the students' financial support so that they can have some earning while they are
pursuing their degree courses. Every year Director Higher Education Haryana allocate some fix amount of money to
various govt. Colleges in Haryana for this scheme.
The officer responsible for implementation of the scheme in colleges elects students in a fair manner by
inviting applications followed by their interviews. Priority is given to the needy students after assessing their merits
After selection, the students are engaged for office, lab, library & IT related works where there is insufficient number
of ministerial staff.
Students are paid 100/-perhour (max no of 6hours to be permitted per week per student i.e.Rs.600/-per week
per student) so that a student can earn upto Rs.2400/-per month after being verified by HOD of concerned
department/office and certified by committee constituted thereof. The amount is being drawn by principal of concerned college, through the Treasury.
